Nana is a first-time blogger!!

Welcome to my first blog, ever! As a retired professional writer, I've been thinking about doing this for a while - and as a life long knitter, merging my two "skills" seemed like the right way to start. . .
Years ago, when my two boys were little (they're now 29 and 31 - sigh) and I was a stay-at-home mom, I started a small cottage industry designing and making a line of kids' clothes. Basically, I made simple little raglan sweaters out of various non-baby-pink and non-baby blue colors, dyed cotton fabric to match, and made little overalls and dresses to go along with them. The business did well and I had a lot of fun doing it, but when I went back to work, my knitting - except for the occasional project - fell by the wayside.
In 2004, we were blessed with my beautiful granddaughter, Sammi, and I was delighted to have little girls' projects to knit once again. And since my retirement two years ago, my needles have been smoking!!
